THE CODE OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE, 1973

ACT NO. 2 OF 1974             [25th January, 1974.]

An Act to consolidate and amend the law relating to Criminal Procedure.

BE it enacted by Parliament in the twenty-fourth Year of the Republic of India as follows:—

CHAPTER - I

Section - 4.

Trial of offences under the Indian Penal Code and other laws.—

(1)All offences under the Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860) shall be investigated, inquired into, tried, and otherwise dealt with according to the provisions hereinafter contained.

(2) All offences under any other law shall be investigated, inquired into, tried, and otherwise dealt with according to the same provisions, but subject to any enactment for the time being in force regulating the manner of place of investigating, inquiring into, trying or otherwise dealing with such offences.

आपराधिक प्रक्रिया से संबंधित कानून को समेकित और संशोधित करने के लिए एक अधिनियम।

भारत गणराज्य के चौबीसवें वर्ष में संसद द्वारा निम्नलिखित रूप में यह अधिनियमित हो:-

अध्याय - 1

धारा - 4.

भारतीय दंड संहिता और अन्य कानूनों के तहत अपराधों का विचारण।—

(1) भारतीय दंड संहिता (1860 का 45) के तहत सभी अपराधों की जांच, जांच, विचारण, और अन्यथा इसके बाद निहित प्रावधानों के अनुसार निपटा जाएगा।

(2) किसी भी अन्य कानून के तहत सभी अपराधों की जांच, जांच, प्रयास और अन्यथा समान प्रावधानों के अनुसार निपटा जाएगा, लेकिन जांच के स्थान के तरीके को विनियमित करने वाले किसी भी अधिनियम के अधीन, पूछताछ, कोशिश करना या अन्यथा ऐसे अपराधों से निपटना।
